TAKE CARE OF YOUR SHEEP FIRST LIKE JESUS DID - PROPHETESS G.K AKINSANMI

Prophetess Dr. Grace Omotomike Akinsanmi, Pastor-in-charge of Truth and Freedom Model Parish, Ayo Ni O, (C&S), a member of the Independent C&S Churches Forum of Nigeria and United Aladura Churches, addresses the spike of fetish practices in Christendom.

She posited that If a pastor is financially balanced and his members are suffering, he is very poor.

Talking about denominational discrimination the Prophetess said that it's really affecting the ministry as many are not willing to associate with the white garment church for fear of fetish practices. Global Affairs Magazine correspondence brings the excerpts:

Q: Kindly introduce yourself and how you started.

Ans: My name is Prophetess, Dr. Grace Omotomike Akinsanmi, I'm the presiding pastor of Truth and Freedom Model Parish, Ayo Ni O. I give all the glory to God, I was ordained as a pastor in the year 2000 by the late Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye. I started my own ministry in the year 2007 from my house before God said we should move out. We were holding service somewhere for about 9 months before God used someone to get this place for us.

Q: How do you handle denominational discrimination as a white garment pastor?

Ans: There are lots of challenges and persecution that one faces in ministerial work but we thank God who always intervene and gives us victory. is it the challenges you face from the traditionalist who tells you they don't want church?

"Other denominations don't want to have anything to do with the white garment church, they call us names like herbalists, traditionalists ritualists and so on but it's not true. They say all this things out of ignorance and lack of knowledge, if they read their bible very well and serve God in spirit and truth, they will know that we are all the same before God. On the last day, when we get there you will not be asked which denomination you belong to. What they will ask you is about your behavior, and whether you worshipped God in spirit and truth. So if truly you are called by God you will know that we are serving the same God. That is what i always preach about. Whether you are a Christian, Muslim or traditionalist, we are serving the same God. Though other denominations disguise and come here for deliverance, prophecy, breakthrough or counselling and after receiving here they go back to their churches and give the testimony. Even other pastors come here for solution when they have problems or wants you to see vision for them but after receiving they go back to their churches then begin to criticize and condemn the white garment church. Criticism is everywhere, even as a trader you want everyone to know that you are the best but only God knows the best.

Q: Is it biblical for pastors to take members to the beach and bath them naked?

Ans: It's not biblical to bath them naked! There is no where in the bible were it is written that a pastor should take another man's wife to the river and bath her naked.

"It's not only white garment churches that behave that way, other churches do it as well but when they do it it's not easily noticed, the reason white garment churches are easily spotted out when they practice such act is because they put on white. As we all know, when there is a stain on your white it's usually very obvious.

"To bath in the river is biblical, but bathing naked in the river? I have never ever seen anywhere in the bible where God instructed anyone to bath naked in the river.

Q: What is your advice for white garment pastors that are involved in fetish practices?

Ans: They should desist from unbiblical practices because God will judge everyone according to their works. You don't need to bath anyone naked in the river or wherever, it's uncalled for! It's not necessary you tell someone to bath in the river before that person can get healing or miracle. No!  So many people fall victim because of too much desperation for miracles, you can fast and pray and still receive your miracle. It's totally wrong to bath someone naked, let's follow the bible and do things as God sent us.

Q: Some people say with pervasive poverty in the country, preachers should not prioritise acquisition of private jets, what’s your view?

Ans: My sincere and Godly advice to them is this, take care of your sheep first like Jesus did. God did not say you should not be rich, in the book of 1st Chronicles 29vs11 it's written there. Wealth and riches comes from God but when you abuse it or use it for worldly purpose that is where you go wrong. If you are financially balanced and your members are suffering, you are very poor.

"Ensure that you take a very good care of your sheep because you will give account of them on the day of judgement. Everyone will account for what he has done on earth on the last day. Many are living on earth as if this earth is their permanent home. Your members are hungry and you are enjoying with your family, you don't care about their wellbeing. Any pastor that are careless of their members will suffer for it, if they escape it their generation will not escape it. Let them read their bible, Everything they need to know is there." Prophetess Akinsanmi concluded.
