POMP AS EZE OKECHUKWU ANORUE MARKS ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. Wears new look after investiture as NFSC ambassador

When it rains, the soil and trees are watered to bring forth abundant harvest. That was the case on December 26th  2021 at the 1st anniversary marking ascension to the throne of HRH Eze Dr. Ikechukwu Anorue Ezesinachi 1 Ezendigbo of Igbogbo/Baiyeku kingdom. The celebration left a lasting impression and legacies behind, as some distinguished personalities who have done inimitably well were given titles. His delectable wife Lolo Pat Anorue was all over him to give her support as a good wife.

It was an epoch and historic event in Igbogbo/Baiyeku kingdom as The Nigeria Football Supporters Club NFSC decorated His Royal Highness Eze Dr. Ikechukwu Anorue as Sport Ambassador of Nigeria Football Supporters Club.

The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, in his remark said The Nigeria Football Supporters Club was founded 66 years ago by football loving Nigerians drawn from different walks of life to ostensibly support the Green Eagles, as the national team was then known.

According to him, the club is renowned for the glitz, glamour and entertainment, particularly, its ceaseless, thoroughly exciting and inspiring singing and dancing whenever and wherever various Nigerian teams are playing. 

"The NFSC is 66 years this year and we have been all over the world to support the supper eagles, We are taking the club to the next level to let the world know that the Nigeria Football Supporters Club is still strong, united, active and the best as far as the world is concerned." 

Speaking further on why the NFSC decorated Anorue as it ambassador, Ikpea posited that, "having perused his track records, and observed how he has effectively served as a tested leader the executives of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club after extensive deliberations decided to appoint him an ambassador of NFSC because of his track record as a leader who displayed incontrovertible commitment for the good of his people.

Ikpea further described Anorue as an asset who has a vast network of contacts and will be available to positively support the interest of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club as he has the experience and proven capacity to defend the interest of his people.

Speaking after his investiture Anorue praised the Nigeria Football Supporters Club for the honor bestowed on him. " I am honored and happy with this investiture from a prestigious body, i'm assuring you that i will not let you down.

"I will support NFSC in the best of my capacity, they have done very well in supporting our supper eagles. I'm now a member of this club and we will add value to it. i will use my position to galvanize Nigerians to support the club because i know that there is no much provision from the government for the club so we will do our best to support the club.

"I feel very honored about this investiture and i thank God that another feather has been added to my hat today. NFSC Is all about sport loving, catching fun and supporting ourselves, we will do the needful to continue to project sports in Nigeria". He said.

It was a jubilation galore at the 3-in-one event as visitors were entertained with the right degree of pomp despite that there was no galaxy of stars and dignitaries as HRH Eze Dr. Ikechukwu Anorue Ezesinachi 1 Ezendigbo of Igbogbo/Baiyeku kingdom decided to have the presence of selected few at the occasion.

Eze (Dr) Okechukwu Anorue who is also the Babaloja Tejuosho Ultra Modern Market Phase 2, served as two-term President Emeritus lmo State Town Development Association in Lagos State.

Anorue, who hails from Mbano in Imo state, has been serving as the royal father of all the Igbo-speaking people resident in Igbogbo community.

Popularly known as the ‘Babaloja of Tejuosho Market’, Anorue has promoted continuous harmony between the Igbos and the Yorubas in the already peaceful and friendly community. The community has attracted professionals and investors owing to Anorue's influence. This is certainly a big achievement as no Eze has been able to do this in the past.

Residents of Igbogbo community told Global Affairs Magazine correspondents that Anorue is the best they have ever had as he has united everybody in the community, he made everyone feel free and welcome in his palace.
