It is certainly not an easy task bringing ideas to life, good art obviously sells itself and generates lots of referrals. Such is the case with one of Nigeria’s contemporary artist Blessing Ejiro Fenegal, a Nigerian from Ughelli South Local Government Delta state who has wowed Nigerians with what can be described as an artistic explosion as she fluants her recent artworks that are rich in colour, lovely African motives and patterns.
In a recent development Ejiro was sighted in a video presenting a sculpture to one of the founding figures of the Nigerian film industry Amb. Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen for his inimitable efforts in empowering youths to become self-reliant.
The renowned film director, screenwriter and producer who has spent 26 years of his life making stars and bringing happiness to many homes across Africa and beyond, when contacted by Global Affairs Magazine for an interview revealed that his unwavering dedication and commitment to the empowerment of youths is an act born of God. "Youth empowerment is among the major factors that determine the development of a country. it is imperative to build their capacity so that they would surpass the present crop of leaders. By God's grace i will continue to pay attention to the development of the Nigerian youth in whatever way i can, it's my own way of giving back to the society in order to have a better tomorrow." Imasuen concluded.
He however noted that empowering youths would accelerate economic prosperity and minimize restiveness.
Ejiro who commended the Empowerment Master for his uncommon approach to building and developing young people with his resources, told journalists that she made a sculpture of the exceptional filmmaker as a birthday gift owing to his benevolence.
"I met him once at an art competition in Benin City, that was 2018, I made a pencil drawing of him, while he came to give us a talk, I like his dedication and love for art. Owing to his continuous support towards young and talented people, I decided to reciprocate by making a sculpture of him as a birthday gift," Ejiro said.
