The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), last Saturday, organized an official installation and investiture in honour of Chief Victor Onyea as Patron of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), this came as a result of his inimitable contribution to the development and progress of Nigeria soccer and Super Eagles at large.
Revr. Samuel Ikpea ,Chairman, NFSC, in his brief address welcomed the new Patron to his official installation and investiture, thanking the guests and well wishers for gracing the occasion.
"This is a project that we have set since I came in as the national chairman of The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), i will not fail to say that a lot of people setting one supporters club or the other have damaged the name and the good work of the club.
"So what we are trying to do is to redeem the image of the club back, restore confidence to Nigerians and people all over the world that the Nigeria Football Supporters Club still remains the best all over the world.
"We have brought in Dr. Olusegun Spencer as our sport ambassador, Chief Solomon Ogbonna, president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos state chapter he is our national patron, Chief Nosike, he is one of our ambassadors and today we are bringing in Chief Victor Onyea as one of our patrons, with all these dignitaries in our midst i think the government, sponsors and everybody out there will have confidence that NFSC still remain one united body and the best all over the world."
On his remark about the newly installed patron, Ikpea posits thus. "Following Chief Onyea's track record he is a patron of so many grassroot football club, a football lover and we need people like him in our midst. He is the chairman of Ultimate Club, and his colossal contribution cannot be overlooked."
Speaking with journalists the newly installed patron, Chief Victor Onyea said, "I am very delighted that today i have been recognised for all my efforts and contribution to sports development in this country. i'm so happy.
"NFSC is a very great club there is no Nigerian that won't like to be associated with it, and i am very impressed with what the executives are doing today and i promise them that we are going to take this to the next level.
"We will use our contacts and network to ensure we get more people to support the Nigeria Football Supporters Club financially".
