Deputy majority leader/Member representing Eti-Osa 1 Constituency in Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Noheem Adams Babatunde has lauded the Lagos state governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for  his colossal support and interest in Eti-Osa.

Hon. Noheem who was a special guest of honor on the occasion of Comrade Promise Udofia's swearing in for a second term as the Chairman, Akwa-Ibom state community, AKISCOM. In an exclusive interview with the Gladiators Magazine expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He said they are indeed blessed to have a governor like Sanwo-Olu who really cares about the well being of the people and whose inimitable support for Eti-Osa is unquantifiable.

While praising the governor, Hon. Noheem  stated that the activities of  Sanwo-Olu in Eti-osa is unprecedented in the history of the town, explaining that the Constituency has witnessed immense growth and development since he assume office.

"I want to thank our governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for showing much interest in Eti-osa. Just recently we still looked at the Road improvement junction. The one in Marwa, Lekki phase 1, the one in Abraham Adesanyan and recently again he just commissioned the access road within Victoria Island, toll gate, about 7 roads together."
When asked about the exceptional things he has done in Eti-osa he said;  "We will always continue to try our best. Since I assumed office I have been able to do a lot of things that my Constituency needs at the appropriate time.

"For example, part of my Constituency project was a computer center in Ajah-Olowo, Borehole in Ilaje, Borehole in Igbara community and LCDA. We have been able to manage the traffic situation within my Constituency that will facilitate some roads, like you can see, there is a regional road going on right now from VGC that will link to Lekki phase 1 just to decongest the traffic within Lekki-Epe express Road.

"So we are still looking at the 4th mainland bridge which will kick-off any moment from now and there's still another one that will kick off any moment from now, it will link from Victoria Island down to Eleko, we are also working on that. There is another one too Sani Obodo Road that links from Okeira down to Alasia, there is still another one that will link from Ogomo down to Sangotedo, we are also working on that. So we have a lot of projects we are working on and I know that we will succeed by God's grace.
"I will continue to thank our governor for showing much interest in Eti-Osa.

"I also want to thank Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa  for giving us the privilege and support in the house of assembly. I thank him for making Lagos State House of assembly above common standard.

"Lastly I want to appreciate a friend and brother, Comrade Promise Udofia. I am proud of him. His name alone promise is speaking for him as he keeps to his promise. I know if you hold on to him very well he will promote AKISCOM not only in Eti-osa or Lagos but in the whole of Nigeria and I know that he will make you guys proud. Please continue to support him. I want to thank my brother too Amb. Cornel Udofia as well, I like him from the first day I met him and I have shown interest in him since then. I don't know how to express my feelings to him. Probably if he was a woman.... who knows, I probably may be eyeing him." Laughs......

Hon. Noheem however expressed how he felt as a patron of AKISCOM when asked, and he gave his candid advice to the newly inaugurated chairman.

Q - Ajah Chapter of AKISCOM decorated you as their patron today. How do you feel?

Ans - I feel great and happy because they are in my Constituency and one thing I like most is to relate with people within my Constituency to show that we are working towards the same direction, to show that they have the synergy within my Constituency. So I'm so happy and delighted to be in your midst and I have said that I'm an indigene of Lagos State as well as Akwa-Ibom state. So we are together Lagos belongs to everyone of us.

Q - What advice would you give to the newly inaugurated chairman?

Ans - I have only one advice for him. Just carry everybody along they have accepted your leadership but continue to do more.

Q - What's the most challenging part of being a politician?

Ans - Aaaah... It's very challenging! You have to be tolerant, you need to accept so many things. Infact i don't know how to explain it. You know some people may just wake up one morning and start pointing accusing fingers at you, jeopardize you, or  bastardize you. So in situations like this you need to be tolerant, calm and be patient. You also need to know how to engage people, you should know how to talk to people and calm them down.

To be a politician is good and interesting but it's very challenging too.

I don't have much to say, if you join politics, you will understand better when you get there.
