The movie which was directed by Chico Ejiro before his transmission to eternity is a movie to watch out for, a must watch movie full of suspense and intrigues.
Chico Ejiro was one dexterous movie producer who had distinguished himself among Nollywood's ranks until he directed what would turn out to be his last project on the eve of Christmas. He passed on in the early hours of Christmas day, December 25, 2020 after reportedly suffering a seizure.
His demise followed complications arising from high blood pressure for which he had been treated . He had returned delightfully to the only business he was so passionate about and had concluded his movie shoot barely two days before Christmas. His painful death was a tragic drama that took less than 10 minutes and there was silence.
Chico as he was widely known both locally and internationally, was a distinguished creative industry entrepreneur, a film and television Director/Producer, a talent investor and cineaste. He was reputed to have directed over 95 movies.
In an exclusive interview with The Gladiators Magazine, Nkechi Discovery, producer of 'Relapse' the last movie Chico Ejiro directed before his demise, expressed her heartfelt bereavement over his sudden death on Christmas day. According to her, she is yet to recover from the shock of Chico Ejiro's death.
"Chico put in all his years of experience in directing this movie tagged 'Relapse'. It's the movie of New Discovery TV London for first step to stardom.
"It was shocking and alarming when the news of Chico's death got to me on Christmas day, I was totally dumbfounded and devastated.
"I never saw it coming though I knew he was a bit down but not as serious as that because all through the film production he was so active in directing.
"Chico is a great pillar in the movie industry, my mentor and my director. Chico brought me to limelight and touched many lives positively, he even promised featuring graduands from my online film school in his movies.
"Chico is the brain child of Relapse and he is always down to earth. We have only one Chico in the movie industry and there can be no other Chico, no one can take his place.
"New Discovery TV London and extension, first Step To Stardom has lost a legend. His demise is an irreparable loss to us and to the entire Nollywood industry.
"We will only have solace on the fact that Chico has fought his cause and finished his race. May his soul continue to rest in peace. May the good lord grant his family the fortitude to bear this great lost. Adieu Chico, Adieu my mentor."
