NIGERIA HAS NOT FAILED, SAYS THE GLADIATOR OF THE WEEK, AMB. CORNEL UDOFIA

Owing to the fact that resilient and amiable Amb. Cornel Udofia has made a great impact in Nigeria.

In commemoration of Nigeria's 60th independent anniversary. The excos of CMC  Gladiators of repute unanimously choose him, the founder of Cornel Media Consult. CMC, Amb. Cornel Udofia to be the Gladiator of the week, a day that coincidentally fell on Nigeria's independent day, October 1st.

Amb. Cornel Udofia is the publisher of the Gladiators Magazine, Convener of CMC Africa Awards on TVC. He is one of Nigeria's best publicist, a media Guru, a highly celebrated entrepreneur, a humanitarian who has made many successful people in the society today, a man who has bagged about 150 national and international awards.

The highly philanthropic man of valor Who's intimidating profile swept many off their feet, was live on the hot seat on the 1st of October 2020 as he gave smashing responses to questions asked by the reputable Gladiators.

The programme which lasted for about two hours was anchored by Mr. Babatunde, Emmanuella, Olori, Anita and other members of the Gladiators of repute.

When asked by Mr. Babatunde, if he had been an entertainment person from childhood he said;

 "The journey to this level has been very divine, Right from my childhood i have been very eager, determined and focused to become somebody. In my primary school days i was the library prefect, i was also  the social prefect in my secondary school, I have always held leadership position and I knew I would become somebody that the country and the society at large would reckon with.

So what you are actually seeing today is not something that just came up overnight it is divine and predestined by God. So for me what is happening to me today is not by accident. I am grateful to my parents and everybody that gave me the platform to be where I am today. It's a long story but I think it's not by mistake for me to be where I am today."

"I want to also say that I'm somebody today because of my determination.

My mum thought me how to be disciplined, Prayerful and respectful."

As a patriotic Nigeria, When asked to share his thoughts about Nigeria's achievements at 60. He said;

 " Well for me Nigeria at 60 is just like a big Daddy, Nigeria is a father of all nations. Although People say Nigeria has failed, I personally don't believe that Nigeria has failed. Nigeria has never failed. The problem we have in this country is that the people at the hem of affairs, the rulers are the ones that makes the country to look bad. In the real sense of it, Nigeria is not bad, my country can never be bad but my country is very unfortunate to have the wrong set of people at the hem of affairs who are not doing the right thing at the right time because of that, the masses see Nigeria in a bad light but on the contrary, Nigeria is blessed. So for me I think what we need to do is to love our country and pray for our country to produce good leaders because if the leaders are good everybody will be happy. Our country is blessed but the only problem is that we have rulers not leaders who milk the country dry thereby denying the citizens their legal benefits."

He was also asked by another Gladiator, why he can,t do without helping people and what inspired him to create a platform that makes way for the son of a nobody to become somebody without knowing anybody. His response goes thus;

"What  made me to..... I don't want to use the word help because help can only come from God I would rather use the word support.

It is only God that helps, we can only support ourselves. I think it's very ok for me to support a fellow human being because in 2005 when I started my journey I had a covenant with God that if, God who is the ultimate helper helps me to become somebody I will raise others and I will never ever stop supporting other people in need.

That is the vow i had with God. So when God lifted me up I had to keep to the covenant I had with him (God). To help the vulnerable, less privileged, needy. I think it's very important to make everyone around you happy. When you help others to be successful in life you are planting a seed that will be multiplied back to you.

When you make people happy and successful they will pray for you and their prayers goes a long way to speak for you, It's something I'm born to do and I will keep on doing it until every young people become successful."
