The world didn't know that Hushpuppi had two children with different women until he had issues with an estranged friend and partner in crime, Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha. That year details of some of the women in his life came to the knowledge of the public after Mompha accused him of neglecting his mother and baby mama and son despite his flamboyant lifestyle on the internet. There were also reports that hushpuppi dated Tonto Dikeh. The controversial Nigerian actress however denied being involved with Hushpuppi.

While Hushpuppi describes himself as a real estate developer, he did not fully disclose how he made money to afford his posh lifestyle. He once joked that he is a beggar by profession. Hushpuppi shared a cryptic message on Instagram following Ismaila’s arrest.

“Some people are eagerly waiting for that sad news about you, may they wait until they perish,” the message read.

In 2018 Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, made headlines when he demanded that the EFFC investigates Hushpuppi. Hushpuppi was accused of being a “yahoo boy” – a term given to men who carry out online crimes such as the famous 419 scam.

“I want to commend EFCC for this good job. More work needs to be done in this regard. There are more yahoo boys in Abuja. And another reminder. There’s this guy called Hush Puppy or something like that. Look into it,” Deji tweeted after police arrested 57 alleged yahoo boys at clubs in Ikoyi.

Hushpuppi snapped pictures with several cars which he flaunts on social media these cars includes a Rolls Royce, Range Rover, Lamborghini and Ferrari.

He reportedly bought himself a new red Ferrari in August 2019 – one year after he was seen posing with a white Lamborghini.

Hushpuppi's Arrest

The billionaire businessman alongside his equally wealthy friend Mr. Woodberry were reportedly ambushed and arrested in Dubai over allegations that they have committed large-scale fraud.

The news broke on Twitter along with a video which went viral showing a fleet of police cars supposedly surrounding the home of Hushpuppi in the UAE where he resides.

According to reports - which remained sketchy - Hushpuppi and Woodberry were allegedly involved in a multi-million dollar US fraud scheme targeting the unemployment insurance system.

Another report claimed the pair had scammed the US government out of millions of dollars over deals to sell ventilators used to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Least of all his ex-girlfriend Amiyah Dyme who threw massive shade at him at the turn of events.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Amiyah hinted that Hushpuppi had dumped her because she was not good enough for him and that he was a glorified thief!

She wrote; "Imagine telling someone they are not good enough to sit with the 'rich people' because of how they're dressed when they bought their clothes with their own money while you literally STOLE the money that you used to buy outfits from the poor people... KARMA is a b*tch".

 

After the arrest of the Gucci Ambassador some facts about his personal life began to emerge. He was reported to be married to one Shawana Nakesia Chapman, a native of St. Kitts and Nevis. What led to the arrest of Hushpuppi and his friends.

Huspuppi and his friends, flew to Dubai to pick money, a total of $35 million dollars, for some Nigerian scammers. When they got to Dubai they told the scammers back home that there was only $5 million availbale. To make matters worse, out of the $5 million they sent, $1 million only.

The entire $35 million fraudulent job was done by a notorious fraud syndicate down here in Nigeria (Omo Naija boys de Paro) the syndicate is made up of sophisticated hackers and programmers. So they concluded a fraudulent deal and it was time for them to collect the money. They allegedly contacted Efe, Woodberry, Hushpuppi and some other guys to help pick the $35 million from Dubai. Sources claimed that, that is what led to the downfall of Hushpuppi. After the "pickers" (Hushpuppi and his partners in crime) picked the money they told the fraudulent syndicates that it was only $5 million that was picked. To worsen issues they allegedly sent only one million to them. Meanwhile these syndicates could see from their own end that the entire money was picked.

With this, the scammers were infuriated leading them to leak all evidence to the interpol and the FBI, connecting the operation to Hushpuppi and his friends
