Gbenga Omotosho, The former high ranking editorial executive of The Nation Newspapers, who is currently the Lagos state commissioner for information and strategy in the cabinet of Governor
Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s government. is an award winning journalist, columnist, media strategist, social critic, Member of Nigeria Guild of Editors [NGE] and Member of Nigeria Union of Journalists [NUJ].He was born on November, 11, 1961, He attended the University of Benin, Nigeria where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree [B.A] in English and Literature in year 1984 and followed it with a Master of Public and International Affairs [MPIA] at the University of Lagos, Akoka, which he successfully completed in 2007.
His over 3 decades of experience in the media began as a Trainee sub-Editor at ‘The Guardian,’ where he rose to become Deputy Chief Editor, Editor of ‘Guardian Express’ and Editor of ‘The Guardian on Saturday.’
After thirteen extensive years as Editor in one of Nigeria’s most authoritative newspapers, The Nation, the outstanding Gbenga Omotosho is in another phase of his eminent career as the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy.
The veteran journalist has maintained patriotism and sincerity since he was conferred with the esteemed portfolio and he is trying his possible best t to make Lagos and the Sanwo-Olu administration proud as they achieve the dream of a Greater Lagos.
